We are looking for a MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN for the electrical and automation department at the Metsä Board Kyro mill. We are seeking an S&A maintenance technician for a permanent employment relationship in Kyröskoski. The work is intended to start in the autumn of 2026, or according to a mutually agreed schedule.
Working in maintenance, you will be partly responsible for achieving the mill's efficient operating rate. As part of the maintenance team, you will ensure the operation of equipment and efficient production. Your work includes plant maintenance, equipment maintenance, preventive maintenance and repair tasks. We believe in doing things together and multi-skilling in our operations. We train our staff to enable diverse job rotation and to ensure the level of expertise in different stages of work. Work is mainly done as day work, but we expect the selected person to have a flexible attitude towards variations in working hours in possible substitution situations.
What do we expect from you? We require a suitable vocational education oriented towards maintenance and previous work experience in similar electrical and automation maintenance tasks. Knowledge of Siemens logic and Valmet DNA process automation system, as well as management of process automation, field instrument devices and knowledge of various fieldbuses are considered an advantage. In terms of your working style, you are self‑motivated and actively take on tasks. In addition, you have good problem‑solving skills and excellent interaction and cooperation skills. You want to develop your professional skills in the field of electrical automation and have a positive attitude towards working in cardboard manufacturing tasks.
