Job summary

Turner & Townsend is hiring for a logistics professional to lead material movement and supplier coordination for major construction projects. You will develop strategies, manage vendors, and ensure timely delivery while coordinating with engineers and project managers.

The role focuses on optimizing supply chains for complex infrastructure works. Applicants should have a degree in logistics or related field, 5–7 years of experience, and strong ERP/SAP skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Construction Management, or related field.
  • 5–7 years in logistics or supply chain roles, preferably in construction or infrastructure projects.
  • Experience with data center or large-scale industrial projects is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain processes, customs regulations, and construction logistics.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP preferred) and project management tools.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple vendors and coordinate across teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement logistics strategies for materials such as steel, concrete, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with specifications and delivery timelines.
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics, including freight forwarding, customs clearance, and site delivery.
  • Oversee staging, storage, and just-in-time delivery to minimize site congestion.
  • Collaborate with construction managers and engineering teams to align logistics with project phases.
  • Implement risk mitigation strategies (e.g., buffer stock, alternative sourcing).
  • Use ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and construction platforms to track procurement and delivery.
  • Maintain dashboards and reports for stakeholders on logistics performance.
