Job summary

DoorDash is seeking an Engineering Manager for the Unified Privacy Platform to lead backend/platform engineers across privacy and consent infrastructure. You will own a multi-year privacy vision, balancing legal, security, and developer velocity while building scalable, self-service capabilities across DoorDash, Wolt, and Deliveroo.

You will partner with Product, Legal, Security, Data Governance, Marketing, and engineering leadership to establish ownership boundaries and drive standardized,

Qualifications

• Degree in CS or related field or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience leading backend/platform teams.
• Experience designing large-scale distributed systems.
• Familiarity with privacy/regulatory systems (GDPR/CCPA/CPRA) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a high-performing backend/platform engineering team.
• Define technical strategy across Privacy Center, Unified Privacy Platform, and Privacy Operations.
• Build cross-brand User Consent Platform with policy/configuration management and audit trails.
• Deliver self-serve consent and rights experiences (RTF/RTI/DSARs).
• Translate privacy requirements into scalable platform capabilities.
• Migrate to a single source of truth across brands while ensuring compatibility.
• Partner with data-governance and downstream teams for traceability and auditable actions.
• Provide architectural guidance for distributed, secure data delivery and auditing.
