Job summary

KONE IT Digital Enabling Platforms in Espoo, Finland is seeking a Lead technical solution designer to drive cloud-based data integration projects from design to delivery. You will design scalable data pipelines, automate integrations, and enable self-service capabilities for users.

Based in Espoo, you will report to the Product Owner and collaborate with architects, owners and partners in an agile setup, shaping roadmaps and guiding implementation across enterprise applications.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in product design or software development with enterprise integration.
• Cloud-native architecture understanding and AWS services experience.
• Hands-on cloud engineering, data integration, and API or messaging design.
• Proven IT project delivery experience in agile environments.
• Strong analytical, innovative mindset and collaboration in English.
• AWS Solutions Architect certification or similar is a plus; SAP/Salesforce assets.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product owners, application owners, architects and stakeholders to clarify needs and find integration opportunities.
• Create fit-for-purpose designs for prioritized items, covering functional and non-functional aspects.
• Own end-to-end IT solution design for integration assets.
• Lead requirement-gathering workshops and translate needs into technical specs.
• Manage development and testing with implementation partners.
• Support product owner in updating roadmaps and backlog prioritization.

We are now looking for a Lead technical solution designer to join KONE IT Digital Enabling Platforms, Data Movement and Integrations team. Our team is dedicated to creating and managing cloud integration solutions that power KONE's digital transformation journey. As a key member of our team, you'll help design and support cloud-based data integration projects, creating scalable solutions for transferring and managing large datasets across applications. You'll play a critical role in automating data pipelines and enabling self-service integration capabilities for our users.

This position is based in Espoo, Finland , and reports to the Product Owner .

Your Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product owners, application owners, architects, and other stakeholders to clarify business needs and uncover integration opportunities.


• Create fit-for-purpose designs for prioritized items, considering both functional and non-functional aspects.


• Own the end-to-end IT solution design for integration assets.


• Lead requirement-gathering workshops and translate needs into technical specifications.


• Manage development and testing with implementation partners.


• Support the product owner in updating product roadmaps and prioritizing backlogs.

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in product design or software development, with a strong background in enterprise application integration.


• Good understanding of cloud-native architecture and AWS services (e.g., Lambda, SQS, SNS, API Gateway, EventBridge ).


• Hands-on experience in cloud engineering, data integration, and designing APIs or messaging-based solutions.


• Proven track record in IT project delivery within agile environments.


• Analytical, innovative, and curious mindset.


• Excellent communication skills in English and a collaborative, agile approach.


• AWS Solutions Architect certification or similar is a plus.


• Prior experience with SAP or Salesforce is considered an asset.


• Good understanding of agentic AI concepts, MCPs and AI driven software development .
