Job summary

Outokumpu Chrome Oy in Helsinki seeks an experienced Lead Developer for SAP Data & Analytics to drive SAP BW on HANA and BW/4HANA solutions, shaping scalable data landscapes and leading a global technical team.

You will partner with stakeholders across Europe and the Americas, set standards, deliver analytics dashboards with Power BI and SAP tools, and continuously improve data quality and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS/IT or equivalent.
• Extensive SAP BW/BW4HANA development experience.
• Experience leading development teams and setting technical standards.
• Experience integrating SAP BW data with Power BI/Databricks.

Responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced Lead Developer, SAP Data & Analytics

to drive the development of our SAP analytics and data warehousing landscape. In this role, you will combine hands‑on expertise with technical leadership to deliver scalable, high‑performing data solutions that support business‑critical processes across our global organization. Working closely with business stakeholders, concept owners, architects, project managers, and IT teams across Europe and the Americas, you will play a key role in shaping our data and analytics capabilities.

Your Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and optimization of SAP BW on HANA and SAP BW/4HANA solutions, including data models, data flows, and ETL processes.
• Develop analytics, reporting, and dashboard solutions that support business decision‑making.
• Define development standards, best practices, and architectural consistency across the SAP Data & Analytics landscape.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and IT teams to translate requirements into effective data solutions and contribute to Outokumpu's data and analytics strategy.
• Ensure data quality, performance, reliability, and continuous improvement of analytics platforms.
• Evaluate and adopt new SAP technologies, including SAP Datasphere and SAP Analytics Cloud

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience
• Several years of SAP BW development and implementation experience.
• Strong expertise in SAP BW/4HANA including data modeling, ETL development and HANA‑native modelling using Calculation Views, with extensive experience in designing scalable and high-performance data solutions.
• Experience with SAP HANA, SAP BusinessObjects, SAP Analytics solutions, and SAP S/4HANA environments.
• Proven ability to lead development work, establish technical standards, and mentor others.
• Experience integrating SAP BW data with non‑SAP applications, enterprise data platforms (e.g. PowerBI, Databricks)
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
