Job summary

Veho is seeking a Lead Data Scientist to own and shape Data Science across the organisation, defining ways of working and driving ML applications that create business value. The role focuses on end-to-end ML, stakeholder collaboration, and building a scalable DS function within a hybrid workplace in Aviapolis, Vantaa.

You will lead a growing Data Science team, work hands-on with data, and align solutions with business objectives while embracing responsible AI principles and clear communication

Qualifications

• Excellent Python and SQL skills with strong statistics and ML knowledge.
• Experience in data preparation, EDA, model development and validation.
• Proven experience taking ML models from development to production.
• Experience with cloud data platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure.
• Understanding of model deployment, monitoring, and responsible AI.
• Ability to communicate complex findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Define common practices and approaches for developing and implementing DS solutions.
• Identify business needs and translate them into advanced analytics use cases.
• Explore, prepare, and analyze data from multiple sources.
• Own end-to-end ML solutions from development to deployment and monitoring.
• Communicate findings, assumptions and model limitations to stakeholders.
• Maintain documentation, code quality and reproducibility of DS solutions.
• Lead and coordinate the DS team as the function grows.
