The Faculty of Law at the University of Helsinki invites applications for 1–2 Research Assistants on a fixed-term basis for 1 year, with potential extension, starting December 2026 or January 2027. The role is part-time (5–20 hours/week) and cannot be performed entirely remotely.

The Research Assistants will support several projects, including LEGACY, HUMAN‑B, and the Helsinki Animal Law Centre, with duties spanning communications, event support, and editing of documents.

Qualifications

• Proactive and creative in updating social media platforms and project websites.
• Strong practical organizational skills.
• Basic understanding of how academic research works.
• Good command of spoken and written English.
• Positive, solution‑oriented attitude.

Responsabilités

• Communicating about project activities on social media, websites, and email.
• Assisting with the organization of events.
• Assisting with research-related work, including proofreading and editing documents.
• Providing other practical and administrative support to research projects and groups.
