Job summary

The Faculty of Law at the University of Helsinki invites applications for a postdoctoral researcher fixed-term for one year (1 February 2027 to 31 January 2028), funded by the MORALMEM project. The appointee will develop independent research linked to the project and collaborate with Dr.

Karolina Stenlund. The role includes publishing, archival research, organizing panels and workshops, public outreach, teaching 5–10% of the time, and contributing to the scholarly community within the Faculty of

Qualifications

• PhD diploma to be acquired by the first day of employment.
• Ability to conduct independent scholarly work with teaching skills.
• English is the working language; Swedish knowledge valued.

Responsibilities

• Develop single-authored peer-reviewed journal articles and co-author/edit work with the project PI.
• Undertake research in law, history, and related disciplines.
• Organize and participate in international conference panels.
• Contribute to workshops, seminars, and public outreach.
• Teach/co-teach and supervise undergraduate students.
• Engage with the research community within the Faculty of Law.
