Job summary

ICEYE in Espoo, Finland seeks a Lab Technician to provide hands-on laboratory and production support in our Espoo manufacturing environment. You will troubleshoot equipment, maintain tools, improve lab processes, and support the production floor when issues arise.

In this role, success will be measured by your ability to:

• Provide reliable, daily production support and prevent avoidable blockers.
  




• Ensure laboratory and cleanroom equipment are consistently operational, calibrated, and compliant.

You will work closely with production teams and become a trusted go‑to person for first‑level technical support.

Your day‑to‑day responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include:

• Provide daily laboratory and production support to ensure the continuity and smooth operation of activities.




• Support equipment start‑up and shutdown procedures in accordance with established protocols.




• Perform preventive maintenance and monitor calibration schedules for laboratory and production equipment.




• Conduct first‑level troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and process‑related issues.




• Perform root cause analysis in collaboration with relevant internal teams and third‑party suppliers.




• Ensure all laboratory equipment is properly maintained, fully operational, and adequately documented.




• Support the monitoring of cleanroom environmental controls, including temperature and humidity.




• Maintain and manage inventory levels of consumables and technical supplies.




• Order equipment and materials as required to support ongoing operations.




• Read, interpret, and comply with technical documentation and procedures.




• Develop and maintain technical reports and related documentation.




• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within laboratory management.




• Uphold 6S standards and ensure overall workplace organization is maintained.




• Support the setup of new facilities and improvements to laboratory infrastructure as required.

What we’re looking for

• Proficiency in technical reporting and process documentation.
