We are now looking for a University Lecturer to teach, inspire and support our students at Aalto University’s School of Business. We are looking for someone who can guide future innovators and startup founders. The position is within the Entrepreneurship Unit at the Department of Management Studies. In this role you will have a chance to make an impact by empowering students to explore their entrepreneurial potential and develop innovative and creative mindsets, fostering a thriving entrepreneurship education and culture at the university. Through engaging learning experiences and collaborations with entrepreneurial ecosystem partners, you will help shape the next generation of entrepreneurial leaders. Your role and goals
The ideal candidate would be someone who meets the below criteria, especially through showing experience in entrepreneurship research, startup experience, as well as university-related teaching experience in the broader field of entrepreneurship.

Preference is for applicants who hold a doctorate or are working towards one, which can be from any of a number of disciplines provided that the candidate’s teaching expertise and focus lies clearly in entrepreneurship. Employment duties need to be performed in Finland.
What we offer
Permanent and full-time position, which will be filled at either University Teacher, University Lecturer or Senior University Lecturer level. The selected candidate is expected to start the position on October 1, 2025, but a later starting date is negotiable. The position comes with a competitive salary that is determined based on experience and qualifications of chosen candidate according to the salary system of Aalto University. In addition, Aalto University provides its employees with occupational health care services and retirement benefits.

Our Entrepreneurship Unit at the Department of Management Studies contributes to the Aalto’s mission to foster a thriving entrepreneurship culture. We provide rigorous and high-impact entrepreneurship research and educate future leaders with a strong ethical and entrepreneurial mindset. Our research is published in top entrepreneurship journals, such as the Journal of Business Venturing, Entrepreneurship Theory & Practice and Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal, as well as in top management journals, such as the Academy of Management Journal, Organization Studies and Journal of Management Studies. Our entrepreneurship educational offerings, like our Master’s program in Sustainable Entrepreneurship, are strongly embedded in the Aalto entrepreneurship ecosystem, and build on a long-standing collaboration with key entrepreneurship education actors at Aalto, such as Aalto Entrepreneurship Society , Start-up Sauna and Aalto Design Factory .
