Job summary

UPM, a global renewables leader, is seeking an IT Sourcing Director to lead our IT sourcing team within Indirect Materials and Services. The role is based in Helsinki or Tampere, Finland, and reports to the VP of Sourcing.

You will shape IT category strategies, run strategic sourcing projects, negotiate with software, cloud and IT service suppliers, and partner with IT, Legal, Finance and business stakeholders to create measurable value for the organization.

Qualifications

Experience in sourcing, procurement and supplier management in international environments.
Knowledge of IT services, software, cloud technologies and supplier ecosystems.
Strong ability to communicate clearly in English with stakeholders at all levels.

Responsibilities

Lead development and implementation of IT category sourcing strategies aligned with IT and business goals.
Manage strategic IT sourcing projects, negotiations and supplier selections across software, cloud, IT services and infrastructure.
Drive value through competitive sourcing, transparency in spend, and total cost optimization.
Strengthen supplier relationships including governance, performance monitoring and risk mitigation.
Collaborate with IT, Legal, Finance, Security and business stakeholders to ensure efficient, compliant end-to-end sourcing processes.
