Overview

We are looking for an Investment Analyst to join our investment team in Helsinki.

The role of the Investment Analyst is to assist and support the investment team in various tasks. You will analyse the current portfolio and new investment opportunities, produce and prepare information to support the investment team’s decision-making and portfolio management. You will participate in meetings with target companies’ management, fund managers, other investors, corporate finance advisors, and other partners.

Responsibilities
  • Analysing the current portfolio and new investment opportunities.
  • Collecting information from both the company's internal and external sources, processing, compiling, and presenting the information to support investment decisions.
  • Collecting and processing data from relevant industries.
  • Preparing monthly reports for internal and external use.

Your responsibilities also include managing the day-to-day affairs of investment management, preparing monthly reports on investment activities, and undertaking other ancillary tasks related to investment management.

Smooth collaboration between the investment team and other team members is a prerequisite for building and maintaining an adequate knowledge base. Occasionally you will also be working on assignments related to other group businesses, such as real estate and ARE. These assignments may include financial modelling, market analysis, or valuations. The role will evolve, and responsibilities will increase as the analyst's skills develop.

Qualifications and experience

The best combination of experiences, skills and background is

  • M.Sc. (or nearing graduation), major e.g., finance, economics, or industrial engineering and management or related field.
  • Preferably 1-3 years of experience through internships or full-time roles in an investment bank, asset management company, private equity, management consulting, or corporate finance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Past experience in financial modelling, familiarity with market data tools, and an interest in learning new technologies and AI tools are considered advantages. Fluency in both Finnish and English.

You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills. You work independently and your way of working is structured with great attention to detail. Our preferred candidate has great interpersonal and communication skills and is a positive team player with a can-do mindset. We expect all our team members to act ethically, and with responsibility in all situations.
