Job summary

Wärtsilä Corporation in Vaasa, Finland, seeks an On-call Trainee focused on Product Automation Testing. The role offers a hybrid work arrangement and an eight-month temporary contract with up to 25 hours per week.

You will contribute to testing embedded control system software, support engine test platforms, and assist with customer delivery/test runs. Ideal candidates are IT/Software students in early term with strong English and proactive problem-solving abilities.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree within IT/Software/Computing Sciences/Automation in a Finnish University or University of Applied Sciences.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive personality.
• Preferably in the first half of full-time studies.

Responsibilities

• UNIC (Embedded control system) software component testing and validation.
• Engine Laboratory test platform support and maintenance.
• Customer Delivery/Test run support.
