Introduction

We are seeking an experienced, hands-on and proactive HR Manager to join our HR Finland team at Metso for a temporary position of at least one year during parental leave. The ideal start date is December 2025 or January 2026, at the latest.

This role supports line managers within specific business lines in the Metso Finland organization and plays a pivotal role in supporting leaders and employees to achieve organizational success. You will act as a trusted partner to line managers, providing expertise across HR disciplines in a multi-cultural matrix environment. This is an opportunity to bring innovative ideas to elevate a high-impact HR function.

This position is located in Espoo or Tampere, with flexible working arrangements including hybrid options. Some travel within Finland may be needed depending on your location.

What you’ll do
  • Provide guidance and support to line managers on people-related topics to ensure business success and achievement of targets.
  • Equip line managers with tools and knowledge to handle onboarding, job leveling, compensation and benefits (C&B), exit processes, organizational changes, competence and performance management, and health & wellbeing.
  • Roll out and train line managers on global HR processes to ensure consistency and effectiveness.
  • Represent HR in the local Occupational Health and Safety Committee, contributing to a safe and healthy workplace.
  • Leverage data-driven insights to enhance decision-making and refine HR strategies.
  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition on recruitment-related matters to ensure a seamless candidate experience.
  • Foster collaboration with employee representatives to maintain a productive and respectful work environment.
  • Work closely with the HR Finland team to ensure efficient and high-level HR services for the Metso Finland organization.
Who you are
  • A proven track record in HR management, preferably with experience in industrial, technology, digital, or automation sectors.
  • Experience across the employment lifecycle, including onboarding, C&B, organizational development, performance management, succession planning, and D&I initiatives.
  • Familiarity with Finnish employment legislation, the technology industry collective agreement, and wellbeing practices.
  • Ability to train and coach line managers and foster positive collaboration with employee representatives.
  • Proficient in MS Office and HRIS systems (preferably SuccessFactors), reporting tools, and data analysis for actionable insights.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills in Finnish and English; other languages are a plus.
  • Proactive, flexible, and eager to bring fresh ideas to elevate HR services for future business needs.
