IQM is a global leader in designing, building, and selling superconducting quantum computers. IQM is growing fast and looking for a Head of IT to lead our global IT team and build robust, scalable systems that support groundbreaking R&D and global business operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop IQM’s global IT department across Finland, Germany, Spain, France, the US, and Singapore.
• Build a high-performing team and foster a collaborative, inclusive culture.
• Plan and execute the IT roadmap in alignment with business goals.
• Oversee IT operations, support services, budgeting, vendor management, and metrics.
• Ensure IT security, business continuity, and compliance.
• Champion internal communications and customer-centric support.
• Collaborate across departments to deliver scalable, resilient infrastructure.
• Drive continuous improvement in IT services and team practices.

What skills do I need?

• 5+ years in IT leadership roles, preferably in scale-ups or fast-paced environments.
• Proven people leader with a passion for mentoring and team building.
• Strong social and intercultural communication skills.
• Deep understanding of IT systems, support models, and frameworks like ITIL.
• Experience with IT budgets, roadmaps, and vendor management.
• Bonus: Knowledge of Information Security, Business Continuity, or quantum tech.
