Nordhealth is seeking a Head of Engineering to own Platform & Data, coaching the team while delivering fast results. The role requires balancing architectural decisions with business impact and remaining hands-on to earn the respect of the team.
Leadership will span engineering depth, delivery ownership, and people management, with a focus on security, compliance, and scalable cloud foundations to support growth.
We’re looking for a Head of Engineering to own everything related to Platform & Data, supporting the next level of our Growth! Reporting directly to the BU CEO, your main goal is to coach the team, execute fast, set up the foundations and connect technology decisions to business outcomes. We need a hands‑on leader and not a pure people’s manager.
This role owns the technical foundations that block growth or accumulate risk — security and compliance, quality management, billing, APIs and integrations, and monitoring — while consolidating fragmented infrastructure onto a unified cloud foundation and improving developer experience. It also owns the highest‑risk areas: production data and migration tooling, cost engineering with 360‑degree spend visibility, and mobile readiness. Longer term, it plans for a modular platform architecture and a mature data platform, while keeping legacy modernization and scalability proactively on the radar.
First, building systems that are designed from the start to handle the pace of our product growth — making architectural decisions that buy us headroom rather than accumulating technical debt. Second, driving platform delivery with clear milestones, transparent prioritization against product needs, and accountability for outcomes. Platform work must be sequenced in close alignment with product development, not in isolation from it.
The right person is a multiplier — someone who raises the performance of everyone around them. They set a high performance bar, give direct and timely feedback, and build a team culture where engineers grow fast and stay. They make others shine: delegating meaningfully and creating the conditions for their team to do their best work.
Attracting top talent is part of the mandate. This person should be the kind of leader strong engineers want to work for — building the team over time through their network and reputation, not just through job postings. Internally, they operate as a genuine peer to existing product and tech leaders — no translation required. They bring the kind of presence and credibility that makes cross‑functional collaboration natural.

If you enjoy working in a fast‑growing and international environment with the possibility to make an impact, this might be the perfect job for you.
