Job summary

Finnair Technical Operations in the Helsinki-Vantaa airport area is hiring Component Mechanics for summer 2027 to join the Component Maintenance team. This fixed-term role offers hands-on experience with one of the world’s most modern fleets.

Open to students or graduates with aviation vocational training; good English required, Finnish a plus; 18+ and clean background with security clearance; potential long-term opportunity after autumn.

Qualifications

• Experience or strong interest in aviation and maintenance environment.
• Relevant vocational training, you can be a student or a graduate. Aircraft Mechanics vocational training is seen as an asset.
• Strong academic performance.
• Good spoken and written English skills. Fluency in Finnish is seen as an asset.
• At least 18 years old or older.
• Clean background, a pre-employment security clearance check is required.

Responsibilities

• Work in component maintenance (wheels & brakes, emergency equipment and sheet metal shops) at Finnair Technical Operations.
• Gain hands-on experience with Finnair's modern fleet.
• Possible long-term opportunity with continued employment in autumn.
