Arctic Poodles in Rovaniemi is reopening a dog handler/husky guide position for the 26/27 winter season with immediate start. The role includes kennel maintenance, dog care, training, and guiding safaris driven by a snowmobile. Working language with customers is English; accommodation can be provided if needed.

Two positions are available. No prior experience is required, but a positive attitude toward work, colleagues, customers and dogs is essential.

Ylläsjärvi/Rovaniemi

Reopening a Dog handler/ Husky guide position for 26/ 27 winter season, and looking to hire immedietly.

We are a local kennel of 60 Alaskan Huskies in Rovaniemi, where the training takes place in autumn. The kennel moves to Ylläsjärvi in the winter, where the safaris take place. You need to be able to come for a trial period to checkout the work.

The job of the guide is to ensure the wellbeing of the customers, driving instructions and huskytalk. Work language (with customers) is English. The work includes kennel maintainance, kennel cleaning, dog training and basic canine maintainance (nutrition and hygiene). If you are better in some area, we work with that and learn the other. Everything from puppy/dog-training, to guiding, building and snowmobile skills is considered an advantage. Safaris are driven by a snowmobile.

Previous experience is not a requirement but an advantage. However a good attitude towards the work, colleagues, customers and dogs is required.

Drivers licence is required and accomodation can be provided if needed.
