Job description

SquareTrade is the fastest growing partner in the global device protection market and we work with many of the world’s largest operators, retailers and manufacturers. Our obsession with putting the customer first, from our transparent T&Cs to our better products, always available online claim filing and our flexible resolution options, are all underpinned by our exceptional team. This is the secret behind how we’ve continued to shake up the industry. We are the ones transforming a “bad” service category into something that empowers people to take care of the things that keep life running smoothly. Together, we’re united by the same end goal: to completely change what people expect from an insurance plan.

We now protect over 140 million devices globally and work across Europe, with partners including Apple, T-Mobile and Telenor. We have been first to market with a number of key innovations, including fully‑digital claims, choice of resolution option, next‑day exchange and same‑day services via local and on‑site repair. Our European ambition continues to grow as we step into new sectors including B2B, CE insurance and trade‑in products.

Job Description

We are looking for a commercially minded Growth Manager to drive programme performance across one of our core European markets. This role is about shaping how our programme is executed in the market: influencing partner stakeholders, diagnosing problems, and improving performance through the strength of your relationships and market knowledge. This candidate will be based in‑market, reporting into the Account Manager based in SquareTrade HQ London.

You’ll be the face of SquareTrade in the market and the voice of the market within SquareTrade, credible at all levels, from HQ to Stores. You’ll be part relationship‐builder, part performance‑driver, and part problem‑solver. You’ll own the planning and execution of SquareTrade’s programme in the market and act as a key feedback loop for our central teams in HQ. You’ll need to influence internal stakeholders by surfacing market insight and helping shape future propositions.

This is a role with real impact, combining practical execution, commercial insight, and strategic influence. We are looking for someone with strong self‑direction, relationship skills, a deep understanding of how consumer and retail businesses work, and a genuine drive to improve commercial and customer outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
Partner Management & Performance
  • Act as the day‑to‑day owner of performance execution between SquareTrade and the partner(s). You will manage weekly relationships, deliver for the partner, and support their needs.
  • Take data supplied by the partner(s) to report both internally and externally, creating a compelling story for the audience.
  • Use analytics to understand business trends, identify opportunities, and determine actions to address them.
  • Bring insights to internal and partner meetings to influence needed change.
  • Own the account and projects you lead, ensuring stakeholders meet deadlines and obstacles are removed.
  • Ensure operational excellence of the account by working with Ops, CS, CX, and Supply Chain teams to report performance and provide the best service to customers.
  • Identify big projects that move the needle on the account and work with necessary teams to create a project plan, own delivery, launch them, and measure success.
  • Think long‑term and identify strategic projects that will drive the most value to the business and partners.
Channel Performance & Engagement
  • Build and maintain impactful relationships with the partner’s HQ and retail teams, from direct insurance stakeholders to heads of retail and regional leaders.
  • Drive performance of sales and cancellations and take proactive steps to grow or reverse challenging performance.
  • Contribute to internal discussions to identify challenges and shape collaborative solutions.
  • Influence how insurance is prioritised and positioned through targeted activity, reporting, and participation in business reviews.
  • Work with SquareTrade HQ and partner leadership to localise, activate, and execute events, campaigns, and incentives that inspire frontline teams and boost performance.
  • Represent SquareTrade within your territory at relevant partner meetings, including regional engagement sessions.
Compliance & Sales Governance
  • Champion a strong compliance culture including agent training, process audits, and resolving mystery‑shopping gaps.
  • Ensure compliant sales behaviour across partner stores by monitoring training completion, evaluating compliance MI scores, and overseeing adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Use partner and customer feedback to create practical recommendations that improve operational and commercial performance.
  • Collaborate with Legal and Compliance to translate regulation into accessible, pragmatic approaches for partner teams.
Programme Execution
  • Coordinate product launches across in‑store, online, and partner communication channels.
  • Support the rollout and execution of incentive campaigns and activations.
  • Conduct competitor mystery‑shopping and surface insights.
  • Act as the primary point of escalation for operational challenges related to programme rollouts, ensuring quick and effective resolution.
Insight
  • Track, report, and create actionable insights from KPIs across attach rate, early cancellations, training, and mystery‑shopping.
  • Feedback retail and competitor insights to central teams to help refine our programme.
  • Share recommendations to improve the programme collaboratively across Account Management, Marketing, and Compliance.
  • Analyse post‑launch performance and provide actionable insights to improve future campaigns and initiatives.
  • Share knowledge and best practice across Partnerships and with wider SquareTrade teams to strengthen execution and cross‑functional alignment.
Qualifications
  • Fluent in local market language and professional working proficiency in English.
  • Experience in client management, retail, or commercial execution roles.
  • Able to build credibility at all levels, from store floor to senior stakeholders.
  • Strong commercial instinct and an understanding of what drives sales performance.
  • Organised, self‑starting, and comfortable with ambiguity in a fast‑changing environment.
  • Familiar with interpreting commercial or operational data to inform decisions.
  • Comfortable balancing strategic priorities with day‑to‑day execution.
  • Preferable experience of working in a heavily regulated environment.
  • Valid driving licence.
Additional Information

This role is based in‑market but will require significant internal travel to partner locations along with monthly international travel to SquareTrade HQ in London.

On average, two to three days per week will be spent with the partner, across a mix of locations, including HQ and stores, both within and outside the assigned region, depending on business requirements.
