Job summary

AFRY Finland is seeking a skilled Full Stack Developer to enhance and support our internal engineering tools and digital solutions. The role offers flexible hybrid work across Finland locations and collaboration with cross-functional teams including data/AI specialists.

You will manage requirements, documentation, and backlog, while aligning with IT and security for compliant delivery and adopting modern engineering practices.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled Full Stack Developer to work together with AFRY Finland Industry Division Project Delivery Tools team and to further develop, maintain, and support AFRY’s internally developed engineering tools, integrations, and digital solutions.

Your primary place of work can be any AFRY Finland location. AFRY supports a flexible hybrid work model.

To ensure continuity and further development of AFRY’s engineering tool platform, your key responsibilities will include:

Collaboration in cross-functional teams including developers, architects, QA, infrastructure, and data/AI specialists

Prepare and manage technical and functional requirements and documentation

Participating in backlog management, prioritization, risk management, and transparent reporting through Azure DevOps

Collaborate with IT and security teams to ensure compliant and secure solution delivery

Promote modern engineering practices including Agile, DevOps, CI/CD, automation, and AI-assisted ways of working (like GitHub Copilot or Claude Code)

Identify opportunities and contribute to improving efficiency, scalability, innovation, and collaboration across the engineering tools landscape

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should have experience with:

Proven experience in a broad range of software development modalities in cross-functional and international environments

Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile delivery methodologies

Solid technical background enabling effective communication with engineering and IT teams

Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure

Understanding of system integrations, APIs, enterprise applications, and application architecture

Experience with Azure DevOps/Jira, GitLab, CI/CD, and modern development practices

Familiarity with AI/LLM-driven development approaches and modern collaboration tools

Understanding of plant engineering tools, workflows, and digital engineering environments

Strong communication and problem-solving skills and a consultive mindset
