Job summary

Davie Shipyards in Finland invites an experienced contract manager to lead the contract function within a growing legal team, interfacing with Projects, Procurement, Legal and Business units.

You will own risk management, change orders, and contract negotiations on international shipbuilding projects, reporting to the Head of Legal, with occasional travel and a strong emphasis on on-site collaboration at Helsinki.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in contract management, commercial management or project environments.
• Experience with complex commercial contracts and contractual risk management.
• Customer-centric and commercially minded approach.
• Able to build processes and best practices, raise awareness and influence across the organization.
• Excellent communication skills and fluent English and Finnish.

Responsibilities

• Identify and manage contractual and commercial risks.
• Serve as the first point of contact towards customers, updating on progress.
• Support in contract interpretation and implementation.
• Manage change orders, contractual notices and claims processes.
• Participate in contract negotiations and commercial discussions.
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations during project execution.
• Develop contract management processes, templates and best practices.
• Promote contractual awareness across the organisation.
