Job summary

Finnair seeks a Fleet Transitions Manager to lead aircraft phase-in/phase-out and IFS programs, ensuring safe, compliant transitions and asset value. You will head a dedicated transition team, coordinate with lessors and stakeholders, and drive digital improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum two years leadership experience in managing specialist teams.
• Proven experience in aircraft fleet transitions, including technical records and technical aspects of aircraft lease agreements.
• Strong background in aircraft engineering, continuing airworthiness, CAMO, MRO, aircraft leasing or consultancy.
• Experience managing complex projects involving multiple internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience working with aircraft lessors and other external partners.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken.
• Ability to travel internationally without restrictions.
• Demonstrated ability to improve processes and utilize digital solutions.

FLEET TRANSITIONS MANAGER

to join our team and lead aircraft fleet transition activities including phase-in, phase-out and entry-into-service programs. This role ensures safe, compliant and efficient transitions while protecting aircraft asset value and maintaining long-term redelivery readiness. In this role, you will lead a dedicated fleet transition team and manage complex, multi-year aircraft transition programs. A key focus is ensuring high-quality, complete and timely aircraft technical transitions and effective coordination with internal stakeholders and aircraft lessors. The role is based at Finnair Technical Operations near Helsinki-Vantaa Airport. While we offer a hybrid working model that combines office and remote work, this position requires you to work on site weekly.
