Job summary

Nefco in Helsinki is seeking a hands-on finance professional to join our Finance Department, blending day-to-day controller responsibilities with improving processes, systems and ways of working. You will ensure integrity of financial operations, support accounting and reporting, and drive continuous improvement across the finance function.

The role requires 3-5 years in accounting/finance, English fluency, and experience with Power BI, Excel and ERP systems.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in accounting, financial controlling, or corporate finance.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required as working language.
• Experience supporting financial system updates, testing, and workflow improvements; automation experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee disbursement of funds for lending and trust fund activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Prepare and deliver financial and management reports, budgeting, forecasting and performance reporting.
• Maintain accurate financial records; ensure internal controls and regulatory compliance; assist with month-end and year-end closes.
• Review and develop finance workflows, Power BI data flows, and automation of recurring tasks.
• Support budgeting, cash flow monitoring, audits, and continuous development of the finance function.
