Job summary

Dreamloop, a Tampere-based game studio, is seeking a Finance Controller to join our growing team. You will oversee accounting processes, manage payables/receivables, and help establish scalable financial systems with our Finance Director.

The role requires Finnish accounting knowledge, English proficiency, and experience with accounting software; a KLT certification is preferred. We offer a competitive monthly salary and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting activities, reconciliations, and monthly closings with Dreamloop's accountants.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, including PO processing, invoices, and statements.
• Handle day-to-day finances using required software (Bezala, Netvisor, Pliant, BI Book).
• Create and maintain financial reports for timely operational decisions.
• Support the Finance Director in various areas as needed.

Job description

Dreamloop makes games with heart and teeth, and our most ambitious project yet is now underway here in Tampere. Were looking for additional finance firepower to help us take our studio to the next level. Were on the hunt for a Finance Controller with knowledge of Finnish accounting procedures to help us get there.

You'll have the opportunity to work alongside our Finance Director as a key player in the company operations that keep the studio moving, and our team making games that pack a punch. Dreamloop is currently on a strong growth trajectory, and this role will play a critical part in establishing our financial processes for the future. And if you're a special kind of crazy, you'll have a hell of a lot of fun in the process.

IN THIS ROLE, YOULL:

• Oversee general accounting activities, reconciliations, and monthly closings in coordination with Dreamloop's accountants
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, including processing purchase orders, invoices, and account statements
• Handle day-to-day management of company finances using needed software (Bezala, Netvisor, Pliant, BI Book, etc.)
• Create and maintain financial reports to ensure up-to-date information for operational decision-making
• Support the Finance Director in various areas as needed

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Understanding of Finnish accounting principles and tax treatment
• Native-level understanding of Finnish accounting terms & working proficiency in English
• Understanding of the basic functions and usage of spreadsheets
• Understanding of the basic functions of accounting software
• Knowledge of workplace-standard IT and software systems
• Problem solving skills

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE HAS:

• Previous experience in the gaming industry / understanding of or interest in the gaming industry
• Experience using Netvisor, Bezala, Pliant, and BI Book
• Experience working with Google Workspace
• KLT (Certified Accountant qualification)
• Payroll administration experience
• Financial statement preparation skills
• A team-first mentality and self-starting nature
• A detail-oriented approach and a diligent nature with just a touch of devilish charm
