Job summary

WTS Energy is looking for a Field Service Technician in Helsinki to be our client's first point of contact in the field. You will work on our client's low and medium voltage installations across various project sites in Belgium, primarily in the Ghent region.

Your role is to ensure our energy solutions remain safe, reliable, and future-ready through installation, testing, commissioning, and ongoing maintenance, while coordinating with external partners and ensuring compliance with AREI standards.

Qualifications

• Solid experience with technical troubleshooting and the ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
• Hands-on, practical approach with strong communication and customer service skills.
• Willingness to travel to the Netherlands for training when required.
• Good communication in Finnish and English; French is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Install, assemble, and maintain low- and medium-voltage switchgear across project sites.
• Carry out cable terminations in compliance with AREI regulations and industry standards.
• Commission, test, and inspect electrical installations for optimal performance and reliability.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues independently or with external partners.
• Perform electrical measurements and testing, documenting results clearly.
• Verify materials, documentation, and work preparation before execution.
• Maintain highest safety standards and comply with site safety requirements.

• Install, assemble, and maintain low- and medium-voltage switchgear across a variety of project sites.
• Carry out cable terminations in compliance with AREI regulations and industry standards.
• Commission, test, and inspect electrical installations to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues independently or in collaboration with external partners.
• Perform electrical measurements and testing, documenting results in clear and accurate reports.
• Verify materials, technical documentation, and work preparation before execution.
• Maintain the highest safety standards and ensure full compliance with all site safety requirements.

Qualifications:

• A technical qualification, preferably in Electrical Engineering or Electromechanics, or 3-5 years of relevant industry experience.
• Solid experience with technical troubleshooting and the ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
• A practical, hands-on approach combined with strong communication and customer service skills.
• Flexibility to work across different project locations and adapt working hours, primarily within the Ghent region.
• Willingness to travel to the Netherlands for training when required.
• Good communication skills in Finnish and English; knowledge of French is an advantage.
