Job summary

Vincit seeks a Fabric Analytics Engineer to design, develop and implement modern data lakehouse solutions and reporting for a varied customer base. You’ll split time between platform/pipeline work and Power BI reporting, with advisory input on governance and best practices.

You’ll collaborate with data engineers and business users, solve production issues promptly, and help customers optimize data models and reporting at enterprise scale.

Qualifications

• Several years of hands-on experience in Microsoft Fabric with strong, established skills.
• Solid Power BI experience, ideally including Premium environments.
• Understanding of data warehousing and semantic modeling.
• Experience with Data Factory and Lakehouse/Warehouse solutions.
• Experience building enterprise-scale analytics and reporting solutions.
• A customer-first, self-driven attitude and strong problem-solving skills.
• Fluent Finnish and English.

Responsibilities

• Work across the Fabric platform to build and maintain Lakehouses, Data warehouses, and semantic models.
• Review and improve reports, guiding customers on best practices for content distribution.
• Collaborate with data engineers and business users to keep reports reliable and useful.
• Troubleshoot production issues and fix data model or refresh problems quickly.
• Identify opportunities to broaden data modeling and governance beyond quick fixes.

Fabric Analytics Engineer

Do you enjoy building modern data lakehouse solutions and reporting? We do.

We’re looking for a Fabric Analytics Engineer to join Vincit and work across a diverse portfolio of customers.

In this role, you’ll participate in design, development and implementation of modern data lakehouse solutions & reporting. Your role might include both platform & pipeline work as well as Power BI reporting, based on your preferences of course.

In some of your projects, someone else has already built the solution, and that’s when you advise the customer on best practices for content restrictions and distribution. Customers often ask for help with a single fix, but as a sharp expert you also spot when the bigger picture and governance need attention too.

What is the job like, really?

Our customer base and projects are broad and diverse, ranging from smaller customers with focused reporting needs to larger enterprises with complex data platforms. You’ll work in both advisory-focused engagements and hands‑on delivery projects where Vincit takes full responsibility for the solution.

Here’s a Snapshot Of Your Key Responsibilities

• Working across the Fabric platform – building and maintaining Lakehouses, Data warehouses, and Semantic Models within Microsoft Fabric
• Advising on existing solutions – reviewing and improving reports built by others, and guiding customers on best practices for content restrictions and distribution
• Supporting development teams and business users – working closely with data engineers and business stakeholders to keep reports reliable and useful
• Solving production issues – troubleshooting data model or refresh problems quickly when a critical report stops working
• Governance and the bigger picture – spotting when a one‑off fix should actually be a broader improvement in the data model or ways of working

What are we looking for?

You’ll do well in this role if you enjoy solving practical technical problems and take ownership of what you build. You’re comfortable switching between planned development work and situations where something unexpected needs fixing fast.

You also enjoy working with others. You’ll have colleagues around you, but much of the day‑to‑day collaboration happens with business users and customers, so being able to explain, discuss, and solve things together matters.

Your background

• Several years of hands‑on experience in Microsoft Fabric, with strong, well‑established skills rather than a junior‑level background
• Solid experience with Power BI, ideally including Power BI Premium environments
• Understanding of data warehousing and semantic modeling
• Experience with Data Factory, Lakehouse & Warehouse solutions
• Experience building data analytics & reporting solutions at Enterprise scale
• A customer‑first, self‑driven attitude
• Strong problem‑solving skills
• Strong proficiency in Finnish and English

It’s a Strong Plus If You Have

• Microsoft Certified: Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate (DP-600) or Fabric Data Engineer Associate (DP-700), or another relevant certification
• Experience with Analysis Services and tabular modeling
• Experience running user training sessions
