Job summary

EY Helsinki is offering a 5-6 month traineeship starting January 2027. You will gain insight into the consulting life, work on real projects, and support proposal preparation, data analysis, client meetings and workshops.

The role helps you develop project management, presentation and communication skills using Excel and PowerPoint. Successful applicants will join EY’s multidisciplinary consulting teams across Business, Technology, People, Risk and FSO practices.

Qualifications

• Graduates or soon-to-be graduates in economics, social sciences, humanities, mathematics, statistics, advanced analytics, computer science, information systems, engineering, accounting, business analytics, or a similar field.
• You are preferably soon finalizing your Master’s degree or have already graduated.
• Good skills in MS Office; other technical skills (programming languages, analytics tools etc.) are considered an asset.

How will we work better together to build a better working world?

Through a traineeship at EY Consulting, you will gain a unique insight into the consulting life and how we assist our clients with improvement and growth. You will work on real projects and experience what it is like to work as a consultant at EY. The traineeship lasts for 5-6 months starting in January 2027. The application period is ongoing and will remain open until 20.9.2026.

We help redefine business models, strategies, and operations through organizational redesign, process improvement, customer experience transformation, AI and data science, cybersecurity, and risk consulting. Our work covers digital infrastructure security, risk management, regulatory compliance, and mitigation strategies for financial and operational risks.

What You Can Expect

• You will receive an invitation to our combined cognitive ability test (Cappfinity). If you apply for multiple positions, you only need to take the test once. We recommend using a PC for the best possible experience.
• If selected from the first screening, you’ll receive an invitation via email to our pre-recorded video interview. The video interview must be completed by Tuesday, 22.9.2026.
• We will invite the most suitable candidates to the Case Day which takes place at EY Helsinki office on Tuesday 6.10.2026.
• Selected candidates will be required to complete a background check, including:
• Submission of a study transcript or degree certificate
• Verification of work permit in Finland

• The role‑specific hourly wage is determined based on completed study credits and ranges between 15,50–18,70€/h. We will review the official transcript of records of all new employees before the employment begins.
