Job summary

Easpring Finland New Materials Oy in Kotka, Finland, seeks an Equipment Engineer to support operation and maintenance of cathode material production equipment. Qualifications

• Five years of experience in industrial equipment engineering or maintenance.
• Hands-on knowledge of production equipment, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance.
• Ability to read technical drawings and coordinate maintenance activities.
• Relevant technical qualification or equivalent practical experience.
• Good teamwork, safety awareness, and English communication skills.
• Experience with battery materials, powder processing, or chemical manufacturing is a plus; automation/electrical knowledge welcomed.

About the position

We are looking for a Equipment Engineer to support the operation and maintenance of cathode material production equipment at our Kotka plant. You will work closely with maintenance technicians, production teams, and process engineers to improve equipment availability and reduce breakdowns.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop preventive maintenance plans and coordinate daily maintenance and repairs with onsite technicians.


• Review equipment manuals and technical drawings, prepare repair plans, and support troubleshooting.


• Investigate equipment failures and implement improvements to reduce unplanned downtime.


• Work with production and process engineering teams on equipment setup, adjustments, and improvements.

What We Are Looking For

• At least five years of relevant experience in industrial equipment engineering or maintenance.


• Practical knowledge of production equipment, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance.


• Ability to read technical drawings and coordinate maintenance activities.


• A relevant technical qualification or equivalent practical experience.


• Good teamwork, safety awareness, and English communication skills.
  
• Experience in battery materials, powder processing, or chemical manufacturing is an advantage, as is knowledge of automation and electrical systems. Experience with our specific equipment is welcome but not essential.
