Job summary

Nordea is seeking an Entra ID technical solution architect to join the Authentication Management team within IAM. Based in Helsinki or TriCity Poland, the role combines security expertise with hands-on delivery and architectural oversight.

You will own Entra ID setup, drive roadmap alignment with IAM architects, and ensure privacy and regulatory compliance while delivering secure identity solutions for a large Nordic bank.

Qualifications

• Several years of proven experience with Entra ID and identity security.
• Knowledge of SSO, OIDC, SAML, Kerberos and related protocols.
• Ability to explain technical context to business and technical audiences.

Responsibilities

About Our Team

Authentication Management is a team under IAM belonging to the Cyber Security area within Nordea. We provide centralised IAM solutions and standardised IAM services towards Nordea’s workforce and systems. Our ambition is to strengthen the security of the bank and act as single point of contact for all units, acquiring these solutions and services. You will join a newly created team that focusing on planning and developing Nordea’s Authentication Management capabilities.

What You’ll Be Doing

Main responsibilities in this role

• Take ownership of the technical set up of our Entra ID solution. Take active part in setting the vision and roadmap of our solution.
• Supporting Entra ID project deliveries
• Act as Entra ID technical expert
• Drive improvements in alignment with IAM architects and other areas of expertise, to support changing business needs
• Secure that legal and regulatory compliance requirement are adhered to
• Work closely with product, application owners and SME’s and share knowledge with others, act as a role model

Who You Are

• Have a key interest in Cyber Security and supporting technologies
• Have worked several years with authentication solutions and processes, with focus on Entra ID
• Are proactive, constructive and a can-do oriented mind-set and a strong driving force
• Have a structured and organised way of working with the ability to deliver results with high quality
• Have the ability to explain technical context to both business and technical audience
• Has a thorough understanding of business strategy, goals and priorities
• Are experienced in summarizing, drawing conclusions, documenting and presenting
• Have experience in working in multicultural environments in large organizations having DevOps team
• Are fluent in English (spoken and written is a must)

Your background and skills include:

• Several years of proven experience working with Entra ID and Microsoft Windows Hello for Business
• Security expert knowledge on both Entra ID and M365
• Good knowledge about authentication methods and protocols, SSO, OIDC, SAML, Kerberos etc.
• Good knowledge of identity security best practices, for both on-premise and cloud environments
• Good knowledge of fundamental security approaches and principles (such as Zero Trust and Least Privilege)
• Understanding of IT processes and system development life cycle

It would be ideal if you also had:

• Security certifications

The role is based in modern premises located centrally in Helsinki or in the TriCity area in Poland. Please, note the candidate should be located in the country of hire already.
