Job summary

Jobgether is partnering with a Finland-based company to recruit an Engineering Manager - Linux Hardware Enablement. You will lead a distributed team working across Linux software and next-generation hardware, collaborating with silicon partners to optimise Ubuntu from kernel to desktop.

Responsibilities include technical leadership over the Linux stack, partner management, and delivering hardware enablement across IoT, PC, and server-class platforms.

Qualifications

• Experience with Linux distributions, Ubuntu/Debian, and packaging.
• Demonstrated leadership of software engineering teams, coaching and performance development.
• Strong collaboration with customers or external partners to understand needs and deliver solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead a distributed team delivering Ubuntu integrations for IoT, PC, and server-class hardware.
• Provide technical leadership across the Linux stack with partners to implement features and performance improvements.
• Build and maintain relationships with commercial/tech partners and ensure timely milestones.
• Oversee partner engagements and maintain quality, reliability, and engineering standards.
• Coach and develop engineers through feedback and career development.
