Job summary

Jobgether on behalf of a partner company is seeking an Engineering Manager, Managed Services based in Finland to lead a distributed team operating modern cloud infrastructure.

You will oversee managed services for customer environments built on Kubernetes and OpenStack, balancing operational excellence with engineering quality and customer collaboration. The role is highly remote with global collaboration and travel up to ~20%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a technology-related field or extensive professional experience.
• Proven software engineering experience with Python, Go, C, C++, Java or similar.
• Demonstrated OpenStack experience and cloud service management.
• Strong testing, maintainable code and software quality practices.
• Experience with Linux system administration (Ubuntu/Debian a plus).
• Knowledge of cloud architectures, distributed systems, and agile methods.
• Proven ability to lead distributed or remote teams and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a growing engineering team to improve velocity and quality.
• Manage day-to-day delivery of managed services across customer environments.
• Establish disciplined engineering and operations processes for scalability.
• Monitor team health indicators and drive performance improvements.
• Maintain focus on priorities, milestones, and customer commitments.
• Represent the team with customers, stakeholders, product engineering and partners.
• Ensure SLAs are met across deployments worldwide.
• Drive continuous improvements to products, processes, and operations.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and operations to resolve complex issues.
