Job summary

Valmet in Finland is seeking a Product Sales Manager, Winders, to own winder modernization sales across EMEA. You will work with customers, identify opportunities, lead projects and negotiations, delivering technical and commercial solutions that improve competitiveness.

The role is based in Valmet's Vantaa office, requires a degree in mechanical engineering or related, 10 years of experience, and willingness to travel up to 80 days per year across Europe; fluent English is essential.

Qualifications

• M.Sc. or B.Sc. degree in mechanical engineering, process or paper technology, automation, or a related technical field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in engineering, management, R&D, sales, or a similar technology-focused environment.
• Deep knowledge of winder technology, products, solutions, and customer processes.
• Fluent English communication skills; Finnish, Swedish or other language are considered an advantage.
• Willingness to travel up to 80 days per year across Europe.

Responsibilities

• Drive winder modernization sales activities across EMEA in close cooperation with local sales teams.
• Identify customer needs and develop technical and commercial solutions that improve customer competitiveness and satisfaction.
• Lead sales projects, technical audits, application work, negotiations, and the timely delivery of quotations.
• Collaborate with Mill Sales Managers, capital sales teams, sales support, engineering specialists, and technology experts.
• Collect, analyze, and act on market feedback while maintaining customer relationships and accurate sales reporting.
