Job summary

Kempower Oyj in Finland is seeking an Embedded Software Developer to join a team focused on firmware and embedded Linux development. You will balance independent work with regular team syncs, contributing to current product releases and the development of future platforms.

The role offers flexible remote work and the chance to work on next-generation charging systems in a collaborative environment with experienced engineers.

Qualifications

UAS/university degree related to embedded development.
Some experience with embedded systems, C++ and Linux (e.g. from studies).
Fluent English communication skills.
Strong problem-solving mindset and self-driven work ethic.
Interest in power electronics and electrification of transportation.

Responsibilities

Full-lifecycle embedded software development from features to bug fixes and hardware integration.
Develop and maintain firmware using C++ on Linux platforms.
Implement new features for next‑generation power electronics products.
Troubleshoot and resolve bugs in the product platform.
Collaborate with hardware engineers to ensure seamless system integration.
Participate in bi-weekly Kanban cycles and plan development goals.
Conduct hands-on testing of software on physical hardware at the office.
