Job summary

Hashlist is expanding its AI research team in Helsinki to support the creation of domain-specific RL environments for constraint-based embedded programming and complex enterprise engineering workflows.

You will author tasks and environments that frontier models struggle with, and oversee the building of an environment, task, and harness where models pass tests only part of the time, enabling valuable post-training data.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in domains overlap with embedded engineering such as automotive, aerospace, medical devices, robotics or silicon bring-up.
• Experience with safety standards and system-level thinking.

Responsibilities

• Author and oversee RL environments for low-level embedded coding problems across enterprise toolchains.
• Own the quality of RL environments and data produced.
• Run, grade, and set standards for expert author network for tasks.
• Communicate with OEMs and AI Labs on research or fine-tuning questions.

Job description

Would you like to operate at the frontier of AI evaluation, post-training, and model improvements?

We are now expanding our core Hashlist AI research team to support the creation of domain-specific RL environments for constraint-based embedded programming & complex enterprise engineering workflows.

What you will do:

• Author tasks and environments that frontier models can’t reliably solve: You will both build and oversee the building of environments within low-level embedded coding problems across complex enterprise toolchain workflows. The bar is an environment, task, and harness where a model passes your tests part of the time and breaks often, which allows us to create valuable post-training data.
• Own the quality of RL environments to make sure the records & data we produce are of very high quality
• Run, grade, and set standards for our expert author network for tasks
• Communication with our clients (OEMs & AI Labs) on specific research or fine-tuning questions they have

Skills needed:

• Production embedded depth. C and C++ under MISRA, ARM Cortex or RISC-V, an RTOS such as Zephyr, FreeRTOS or QNX, and fluency with memory, timing, power, thermal and functional safety budgets.
• 10+ years of experience in domains & tooling where embedded engineering overlaps: Automotive, aerospace, medical devices, robotics or silicon bring-up, with credible depth in at least two. E.g AUTOSAR, ISO 26262, Simulink, Vector etc.
• High level of personal drive, motivation, and good communication skills
