Job summary

GE Vernova Inc. in Markham, Ontario, is seeking Electronics Technicians to join our Manufacturing Operations team.

You will assemble, test, troubleshoot, repair, and reassemble GE products on the production line, with a focus on safety, quality, and lean manufacturing standards. The role requires handling protection and control relays, reading schematics and drawings, setting up test equipment, and contributing to continuous improvement while supporting ECOs and production metrics.

Qualifications

• Electronics Technologist Diploma/Certificate or equivalent education and experience.
• Minimum 6 months experience in electronics manufacturing services or similar environment.
• Strong knowledge of electronic test equipment, fixtures, soldering equipment, microscopes, and gauges.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, manufacturing drawings, specifications and standards.
• Strong computer skills and customer-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Test and troubleshoot protection and control relays on the production line.

• Set up test equipment, systems, fixtures, and instruments.
• Conduct circuit adjustments and testing against electrical standards.

• Assist with final assembly, packaging, audits, and shipment preparation when required.
• Support achievement of production metrics including output, quality, and first-pass yield targets.
• Perform electronic assembly duties as needed.
• Complete additional duties as assigned by management.

The successful candidates will be responsible for performing systems/module assembly, systems/module testing, debugging, repair and re-assembly of several GE products at the Markham facility. The duties include compliance to, and support for the GE health, safety and quality practices and standards, GE policies and procedures and other company initiatives such as lean manufacturing.

Qualifications

Required

• Electronics Technologist Diploma/Certificate or equivalent education and experience.
• Minimum 6 months experience in electronics manufacturing services (EMS) or a similar manufacturing environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of:
  Electronic test equipment and fixtures
  Soldering equipment
  Microscopes
  Mechanical gauges
• Ability to read and interpret:
  Electrical schematics
  Manufacturing drawings
  Specifications and standards
• Strong computer skills.
• Excellent communication and customer-focused mindset.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for up to 6 hours at a time.
• Ability to bend, stretch, and perform repetitive movements.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs (16 kg).
