Job summary

Helsingin kaupunki is seeking a care assistant for Töölön seniorikeskus to support smooth daily routines and provide respectful care to elderly residents.

You will perform domestic tasks, help residents with daily activities, and ensure rooms and shared spaces are equipped with the necessary tools. The temporary 7‑month contract includes a reduced-rate rental apartment at Aurora Palace, as well as Epassi Flex, lunch vouchers, a city bike, and island recreation access, in Helsinki.

Qualifications

• Finnish language proficiency (spoken and written).
• Good physical health and fitness for manual tasks.
• Vaccination against infectious diseases.
• Clean criminal record for working with the elderly.
• Eligible Helsinki resident who is jobless and meets criteria.

Responsibilities

• Perform domestic tasks such as dishwashing, laundry, and maintaining order.
• Ensure sufficient work tools in residents' rooms and shared spaces.
• Support residents with daily activities as required.
