Childcare Apprenticeship – Level 2 – Apple Blossom Day Nursery

The Aspire Training Team are currently recruiting for a punctual, reliable and enthusiastic individual to join Apple Blossom Day Nursery as a Level 2 Childcare Apprentice.

Apple Blossom Day Nursery is a friendly and caring family-run nursery, having excellent facilities both inside and outside. Situated in the rural areas in Exeter, Whimple, the nursery cares for children from 0 – 5 years old.
The setting has also been established for a successful 23 years, running 2 rooms and a range of safe and fun activities for children to enjoy outdoors.

This is an exciting opportunity to complete a Level 2 Childcare apprenticeship within a friendly team at a fantastic setting.

Your roles and responsibilities would include:

• Supporting children with personal care
• Supporting with feeding and snacks
• Preparing activities for the children
• Participating in activities with the children
• Helping with messy play
• Working with other team members to keep the setting clean and tidy
• Must be willing to get involved
• Adhering to safeguarding procedures
• Keeping the children safe at all times
• Following health and safety procedures
• Observing children and interacting with parents

Requirements:

• You must be able to obtain a clear DBS
• GCSE – English and Maths C/4 or above/ Functional Skills
• Being able to drive would be beneficial due to the location of the setting

Hours:

• This position is 52 weeks per year, working hours will be a minimum of 30 hours per week with flexible shifts to be discussed between the nursery’s opening hours of 7.45am and 18.00pm
