Job summary

NestAI in Helsinki is seeking a senior/lead Edge AI engineer to shape tracking and re-identification within the ATR pipeline. You will design and implement MOT and re-id components, keep object IDs coherent across frames online and offline, and collaborate with detectors and validation pipelines.

You’ll mentor junior engineers, influence how tracking fits into the ATR system, and ensure robust performance under occlusions and across sessions.

Qualifications

Hands-on video analytics experience in industry settings.
Strong background in multi-object tracking (MOT) with online/offline capabilities.
Experience with object re-identification (re-id).
Solid understanding of object detection as a basis for tracking/re-id.
Experience with model optimization for edge inference is a plus.

Responsibilities

Design and implement tracking and re-identification algorithms as part of the ATR pipeline.
Build tracking that works online (live video) and offline (recorded video), maintaining coherent IDs across frames.
Solve re-identification challenges after occlusion or across different video sessions.
Collaborate with detector development and model optimization engineers to integrate tracking/re-id into the pipeline.
Work with the validation pipeline to benchmark tracking/re-id accuracy.
Mentor and guide junior team members.
