A private daycare in Helsinki is seeking an Early Childhood Educator to support the care of children aged 9 months to 5 years. Responsibilities include writing educational plans, conducting meetings, and maintaining a quality environment in the daycare. Candidates must be fluent in English, possess relevant qualifications, and be familiar with a specific childcare approach. This role requires teamwork and shared responsibilities, with a maximum of 15 children in care.
LTI is a privately-owned daycare in Helsinki. We take care of children from 9 months up to 5 years of
age. We have a maximum of 15 children in LTI-Tapaninvainio.
You will be working with another educarer. As we are a small daycare, cleaning of the daycare is a
shared responsibility amongst all staff members.
Your responsibilities include, but not exclusive to, writing VASUs and HYVE-4s, updating action plans
and other necessary daycare plans, conducting parent-teacher meetings, biweekly team meetings and
preparing suitable activities for our little tots. You are also responsible for the maintenance and quality
control of your designated daycare branch such as its cleanliness and up-to-date resources.
We are inspired by Magda Gerber’s Educaring approach. We hope that you are familiar with this
approach and is open to practicing this specific childcare approach.
You must be fluent and confident in speaking, as well as writing, in English. A little knowledge of the
Finnish language is required.
You must have the proper qualifications and experience for this position. We will only contact those

Working with children requires an extract from criminal records according to Criminal Records Act
(770/1993) 6 § 2 mom.
