Overview

At the heart of Pilke’s early childhood education, childcare and after-school activities are the company’s good day makers – more than 2,000 ECEC and childcare professionals. We are looking for an early childhood education practical nurse to the Pilke Playschool Mäntyviita. You will be working with the 0-3-year-old toddlers. The position starts in October 2025. The daycare centre has places for 42 children. The Pilke Playschool Mäntyviita is an English daycare unit, but we also value the skills of other languages such as Finnish as Finnish is used as the enrichment language with the older children of the unit.

The Pilke Playschool Mäntyviita offers warm-spirited and high-quality early childhood education to children aged 0-5 years in the Espoo district of Tapiola. Our curriculum follows the National Core for Early Childhood Education and Care from Finland. We make sure that your child can express their creativity and be an active participant in their learning journey with us.

Responsibilities

• Work mainly with the 0-3-year-olds group and, when needed, educate older children of the daycare.
• Apply working methods based on pedagogic principles with a positive and active attitude, good interaction skills, and genuine engagement with children.
• Contribute to solution-based working practices and be open to trying new things.
• Be part of a team where daycare centre tasks are distributed so everyone can focus on their duties to the best of their abilities.
• Support a safe, positive working atmosphere and help colleagues in their duties.
• Develop professionally and pursue further education and career opportunities within Pilke.

Qualifications

• Completed an applicable basic education degree in social services and health care (a children’s instructor or practical nurse degree including a programme in children’s and youth education and care) or an equivalent degree (e.g., childcarer or childminder degree).
• The selected candidate shall present to the employer a criminal records extract within the meaning of Section 6 paragraph 2 of the Criminal Records Act (770/1993).
