Overview

We are looking for an Electrical & Instrumentation QA/QC Engineer to join our client's China Harbour Engineering Company Ltd. team for the Kotka CAM Plant project.

China Harbour Engineering Company Ltd. (CHEC) is a world-renowned international contractor and a leading provider of comprehensive services across the entire industry chain for both public and private sectors. CHEC has been engaged as the main contractor for the CAM Plant project in Kotka, responsible for the implementation and construction of the plant. The position is project-based, with an expected duration of approximately one year, and the work is located in Keltakallio, Kotka.

Responsibilities
  • Organize the preparation and review of technical documents related to E&I quality management, such as ITP (Inspection and Test Plan) and MS (Method Statement). Propose revisions/modifications, and supplement and improve the documents based on project progress and on-site conditions.
  • Qualification review of subcontractor enterprises, on-site personnel, machinery, equipment and instruments within the discipline.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to conduct the acceptance inspection of incoming materials, engineering equipment and instruments within the discipline, making records of acceptance inspections in compliance with the ITP (including the review of relevant documents).
  • Daily on-site supervision within the discipline, promptly proposing rectification requests for construction quality issues and submitting daily quality summaries in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to conduct the acceptance inspection of concealed works and inspection lots within the discipline, making records of acceptance inspections in compliance with the ITP.
  • Organize regular and ad-hoc quality management activities within the discipline according to the Quality Manager’s directives, submitting close-out reports for each activity.
  • Issue SSR (Site Surveillance Report) or NCR (Non-Conformance Report) for quality issues on site within the discipline, and supervise the rectification until closure.
  • Attend E&I discipline-related meetings punctually as assigned by the Quality Manager, document meeting minutes and report them timely.
  • Conduct weekly/monthly statistical analysis of construction quality management data for the discipline, identify existing issues and root causes, develop improvement measures, and submit quality weekly/monthly reports.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field.
  • Several years of relevant experience in E&I installation, commissioning and QA/QC execution.
  • Proficiency in European standards and Finnish regulations, as well as standards related to CE certification.
  • Good communication skills and strong coordination ability with design teams, contractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Full professional proficiency in English.
