Job summary

Turku Research Institute for Learning Analytics (TRILA) seeks a doctoral researcher / project researcher for a two-year fixed-term role starting Jan 2027, based in Turku, Finland. The project focuses on teachers’ motivation, wellbeing and children’s learning, with data-driven exploration of digital traces and learning strategies.

Qualifications

• Master degree in Psychology, Education, Cognitive Science, Learning Analytics, Linguistics, Social Sciences, CS/IT, Math/Stats or related field
• Evidence of ability to pursue postgraduate doctoral training
• Experience with data management and statistical analysis is a plus
• Good English skills

Responsibilities

• Conduct own doctoral research and complete doctoral courses
• Engage in research projects within the Academy Project on teachers and digital environments
• Explore themes on teacher motivation, wellbeing, and student achievement or digital learning traces
