Job summary

The University of Turku invites applications for a fixed-term Project Researcher/Doctoral Researcher in the Department of Psychology and Speech-Language Pathology. The appointment runs January 1, 2027–August 31, 2030, with start date on January 1, 2027.

The researcher will work on a project funded by the Research Council of Finland, examining bilingual language use, language switching, and related brain changes using behavioral methods, TMS and MRI/DTI.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in psychology, speech-language pathology, or cognitive neuroscience.
• Early-career researcher not yet holding a doctoral degree.
• Eligibility to pursue a doctoral degree at the University of Turku or a plan aligned with the project.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement studies related to bilingual language use.
• Collect and analyze data; contribute to publications.
• Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration and contribute to doctoral dissertation work.
