Tampere University invites applications for doctoral researchers in the area of gameful and engaging technologies for sustainability to join the Research Centre of Gameful Realities. The positions are part of CLIMETA/Open themes.

Candidates from computer science, human-computer interaction, design, education, or related fields are welcome to propose independent research agendas exploring VR, AI, gamification, and other engaging media to foster learning, reflection, and sustainable practices.

Qualifications

• Candidates should have a strong background in engaging media technologies and sustainability.
• Experience with VR, XR, and AI-enabled interaction is desirable.
• Ability to design and conduct laboratory or field experiments.
• Excellent scientific writing and dissemination skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and pursue a doctoral research agenda within CLIMETA/Open themes.
• Plan and conduct experiments, analyze data, and publish results.
• Collaborate across disciplines and contribute to project funding efforts.
