Metsä Board is looking for a DIRECTOR, PRICING AND REVENUE MANAGEMENT to join our Sales Services team in Commercial Operations. In this new role, you will work closely with Commercial Excellence, Business Intelligence, Marketing, Finance, and Sales. You will report to the Vice President, Sales Services, and be part of our Sales Services Management Team. The position is located at Metsä Board's head office in Espoo.

Key Responsibilities
  • Defining pricing strategy and developing disciplined pricing tactics by anticipating the value created for customers and then setting specific prices to capture that value
  • Forecasting market demand and price level movements and reacting to them
  • Securing optimized capacity utilization and inventories by steering sales focus and pricing
  • Managing and implementing customer segmentation
  • Defining go-to-market and channel strategies
  • Measuring, reporting, and steering segment and account-based profitability
  • Defining and managing the implementation of rebates, discounts, and surcharges
What are we expecting of you?

We expect you to have an academic degree in finance or another relevant field with a strong track record of successfully leading pricing and revenue management activities in a global business environment. You are comfortable analyzing large amounts of data with an excellent capability to distill the essential findings and translate them into actionable tasks for the commercial organization.

To be successful in this position, you need to have a passion for driving positive commercial impact by creating value and increasing efficiency. You feel equally at home doing in-depth data analysis as well as presenting in the boardroom. A positive attitude and people skills, even when working under pressure, support you in implementing your plans into concrete actions by the sales team. In our international environment, you need fluency in written and spoken English. Other language skills and cultural understanding are beneficial.
