Shepherd Center seeks a Director of Research to oversee the organization’s research program within a clinical setting. This role publishes in peer‑reviewed journals and presents at national/international seminars, collaborating with clinicians and researchers across the center.

The Director will design and submit grant applications, initiate and direct research projects, mentor staff, and lead clinical trials. Expect active dissemination of findings and regulatory compliance oversight.

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent.
• 5+ years leading extramurally funded research.
• History of peer-reviewed publications.
• Grant writing and research content expertise.

Responsabilités

• Lead and coordinate program research in a clinical setting.
• Design, develop, and submit grant applications to funding sources.
• Initiate and direct research projects related to the program.
• Provide training and support to clinical staff pursuing research interests.
• Serve as lead and/or co-investigator on clinical trials.
• Disseminate research through manuscripts and conferences (≥2 manuscripts, ≥2 presentations/year).
• Establish professional contacts with funding agencies and other institutions.
• Ensure reporting to funding agencies is accurate and timely.
• Provide consultation on research studies and ensure safety/regulatory compliance.
