Job summary

Telia in Helsinki seeks a System Engineer to join our Privileged Access Management (PAM) and Secrets Management team. You’ll help strengthen identity and security posture by sustaining KMS and PAM platforms and enabling automation.

You’ll collaborate with CyberArk, Delinea, Vault, and Fortanix specialists, support CI/CD integrations, scripting in Python/PowerShell, and ensure compliance with standards like NIST and ISO 27001. Telia offers remote options and a supportive, diverse environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on PAM/KMS production support in enterprise environments.
• Experience with CyberArk, Delinea, Vault or Fortanix and maintaining service availability.
• Automation/scripting focus (Python/PowerShell) to improve ops efficiency.
• Familiarity with IAM protocols (SAML, OAuth2, OIDC) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day platform support for PAM/KMS and related IAM services.
• Assist integration of IAM/PAM with applications, AD, cloud, Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines.
• Troubleshoot incidents and participate in on-call rotation.
• Implement access control policies aligned with security standards (NIST/ISO 27001/PCI DSS).

We’re looking for a System Engineer to join us at Telia Company.

I’m Kęstutis Černiauskas, Head of Identity Architecture & PAM Solutions, and I’m searching for someone ready to grow with us in Privileged Access Management team. We’re a supportive, forward-thinking team focused on Privileged Access control, Identity federation, Multifactor authentication (MFA), as well as secret management technologies, which help Telia employees to execute their daily activities in simple and secure ways.

What you’ll do:

This role offers a unique opportunity to make a strategic impact by advancing our Privileged Access Management (PAM) and Secrets Management platforms. You will leverage modern technologies and industry best practices to strengthen solutions that are critical to the organization's identity and security posture. In this role, you will:

• Platform Support & Maintenance: Provide day-to-day support and maintenance for Key Management Systems (KMS) and Privileged Access Management (PAM) platforms, ensuring stability, availability, and secure operation.
• Integration & Automation Support: Support integration of IAM services (e.g., PAM, KMS, IdP, MFA) with applications, Active Directory, cloud services, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines, including GitHub Actions and similar automation tools.
• Operational Troubleshooting: Perform monitoring, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and incident resolution across IAM, PAM, and KMS environments. Participate in operational support and on-call activities as required.
• Security & Compliance Execution: Implement and maintain access control, privileged access, and key management policies in line with security and compliance standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, PCI DSS), supporting audits and risk mitigation activities.

You are a customer-focused and proactive professional with strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills, capable of balancing operational excellence with business priorities.

• Experience & Platform Operations: Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience supporting Privileged Access Management (PAM) and/or Key Management Systems (KMS) in production environments, with strong operational expertise in enterprise platforms such as CyberArk, Delinea, HashiCorp Vault, or Fortanix, ensuring service availability, lifecycle management, monitoring, and routine maintenance.
• DevOps & Integration Support: Experience supporting integrations with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions or similar), directory services (Active Directory), and authentication services. Strong focus on automation and scripting (e.g., Python, PowerShell, or similar) to improve operational efficiency and streamline processes. Working knowledge of IAM protocols such as SAML, OAuth 2.0, and OpenID Connect (OIDC) is an advantage.
• Operational Excellence & Stakeholder Management: Strong problem-solving and incident management skills with a customer-focused mindset. Proven ability to operate in SLA/OLA-driven environments, prioritize and resolve issues effectively, and maintain service reliability. Skilled in stakeholder management, with the ability to communicate clearly, coordinate across technical and business teams, and ensure alignment during operational incidents and service delivery.
