Wärtsilä Energy is seeking a data-minded professional to improve supply chain processes through data-driven methods. You will work hands-on with data, Power BI, and KPI definitions to improve how supply chain data is structured and used.

Interested in using data to improve supply chain processes? Join Wärtsilä Energy to develop reporting, data solutions and smarter ways of working across supply chain management.

Key responsibilities

In this position, your focus will be on developing more data-driven ways of working within Wärtsilä Energy’s Supply Chain Management organisation, particularly in procurement and strategic sourcing. You will work hands‑on with data and Power BI, develop reports and data products, define KPIs and help improve how supply chain data is structured and used.

You will work closely with supply chain professionals and data specialists to develop ideas further and turn business needs into practical data solutions. You will coordinate development projects and explore how new tools, including AI and intelligent agents, could support supply chain processes. You will be supported by Wärtsilä’s data experts on more technically demanding topics, but you are also expected to be a hands‑on contributor who develops solutions and drives improvements from idea to implementation.

What we are looking for:

• Several years of experience in project coordination or development work
• A relevant academic background in engineering, supply chain, business or a similar field, combined with an understanding of supply chain processes
• Hands‑on experience with data, reporting and Power BI
• A proactive, independent and analytical working style with the ability to structure information and drive improvements forward
• Good communication and collaboration skills in English

Additionally valued:

• Previous experience working with procurement, purchasing or strategic sourcing, as it will help you understand the business context and related data
• Experience with automation and AI solutions, intelligent agents or applying AI in a business environment
• Familiarity with SAP, Salesforce, Databricks or other ERP and data platforms
• Good skills in Finnish

Practicalities:

This is a full‑time, fixed‑term position for 12 months, where you will join Wärtsilä Energy as aTalent’s employee. We hope you are available to start as soon as possible.

Your immediate team is split between Helsinki and Vaasa, but you can be based in Helsinki, Vaasa or Turku. Wärtsilä offers a flexible hybrid working model, and we hope you can work from the office regularly.
