Job summary

Kesko is seeking an experienced Design Engineer to join a newly formed design systems team responsible for building and maintaining the design and frontend infrastructure. You will work with product teams and Arielle to design and develop building blocks for Kesko's products and to support users of the design system.

The role emphasizes hybrid designer/developer work, collaboration across cross-functional teams, accessibility advocacy, and thorough documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience designing systems and frontend infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of accessibility principles and inclusive design.
• Proficiency with Figma for design systems and components.
• Experience building design systems and frontend tooling.

Responsibilities

• Own Kesko's Figma Toolkit and standardize components.
• Develop and maintain frontend tooling and design system infrastructure.
• Collaborate with product, design and engineering to evolve components.
• Advocate for accessibility and inclusive design.
• Onboard teams and support users of the design system.
• Write documentation for multiple audiences.
