Job summary

Patria is seeking a Product Regulatory Manager to join its Defence Systems Product Management team in Tampere. You will act as the SME for product compliance, safety, regulatory requirements, and industry standards across the product lifecycle.

In this role you will ensure development, certification and maintenance align with applicable legal and defence sector requirements, guiding the organization on ongoing compliance and risk management.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in product compliance, safety, certification, systems engineering, quality or regulatory work in a demanding technical environment.
• Strong understanding of CE marking, EMC, electrical safety, machinery safety, functional safety, environmental and material compliance (REACH, RoHS).
• Ability to interpret standards and translate requirements into practical product actions.

Responsibilities

• Own and continuously improve product compliance and product safety processes across the defence product portfolio.
• Interpret and apply legislation, regulations, directives, standards and certification frameworks relevant to defence and technology products.
• Monitor evolving regulatory requirements and guide the organisation in preparing for future compliance obligations.
• Ensure safety, environmental, EMC, materials, cybersecurity, export control and other regulatory requirements are integrated into product development and lifecycle management.
• Manage compliance documentation, declarations, technical files, certification evidence, risk assessments and reporting frameworks.
• Support product development, operations, quality, procurement and other stakeholders with practical compliance guidance.
• Drive continuous improvement in safety culture, regulatory readiness, audit preparedness and defence product compliance practices.
